As always, the Blogging Boomers Carnival includes a wide array of topics for baby boomer readers. This edition is no different. From 401(k)s to folk art to fashion, this edition has something for everyone.

If you’re a new reader you may be asking, what is the Blogging Boomers Carnival? A blog carnival is a collection of bloggers writing about a similar topic – in this case baby boomers. Each week, the carnival is hosted at a different blog. The members of the carnival submit their best blog post from the previous week and the host includes a brief description and a link to each writer’s post.

Therefore, a blog carnival is a great way to discover new blogs to read. But this shouldn’t be passive consumption. Blogs are part of the social media milieu. This means to really get full value, you need to be a participant. When you read a post you find interesting or provocative, leave a comment. Tell the world what you think and add to the discussion.
