Are you struggling to grow your audience online and attract new clients because no one is seeing you or your posts? You’re not alone.

The truth is, you can have the best offer, the best content, and the best message—but if no one knows you exist, it won’t matter.

That’s why, in 2025, video is queen.

Video on social media is more likely to get seen by followers than other types of posts. They’re more likely to get shared. They’re more likely to receive comments. All of which means the “algorithm” is more likely to show your content to even more people. You will increase your visibility using video on social media.

You’re also more likely to get discovered by new people with video. For example, on Instagram, my videos see 60 to 90 percent or more viewers who are not following me.

That’s great as a marketing tool because you don’t want to be speaking only to people who already know you. You need to keep adding to your audience and video does it better.

If you want to get found online without spending a fortune on ads, if you want to be seen as the go-to expert in your niche, and if you’d love to have ideal clients showing up on sales calls already convinced to work with you, video is the fastest way to get there.

But what if you’ve never made a video before? Or you’ve been inconsistent? Or maybe the idea of showing up on camera makes you want to hide?

Let’s talk about why now is the perfect time to start—and how you can make video work for you, even if you’re starting from scratch.

Why Your First Videos Don’t Need to Be Perfect

You’ve heard of the algorithm, right? Every social media platform has one, and the reality is, not everyone sees your content—especially in the beginning.

And when it comes to video marketing that’s actually a good thing.

When you first start making videos, they won’t be your best. You’re still learning. That’s just part of the process. But the good news? Your early videos aren’t going to get massive views anyway, which means you have time to practice, improve, and gain confidence while your audience grows.

As you become more consistent and intentional with video, your skills, confidence, and visibility will grow together.

Don’t Let Technology Hold You Back

One of the biggest roadblocks people face with video marketing is tech overwhelm.

You see creators with fancy cameras, professional lighting, and slick editing, and you think, I need all that before I can start.

Nope.

You already have everything you need to create great videos.

If you have a modern smartphone or a webcam on your computer, you’re ready to go. In fact, I recorded my latest video on my Samsung phone—no fancy equipment, no expensive lights.

The most important thing isn’t your gear—it’s that you start.

Live Video: The Easiest Way to Get Started

If you want to skip the overwhelm of editing and over-preparing, start with live video.

Live video is:

  • More forgiving—people expect it to be raw and unpolished (that’s why people watch it)
  • A time-saver—no need to spend hours editing. Just hit “go live” and start talking. Hit “end broadcast” and Bob’s your uncle, you’re done!
  • A great way to engage—your audience can comment in real-time. Of course, don’t worry if no one shows up live. Most people will watch the replay anyway!

Once you get comfortable, you can start repurposing live videos into shorter clips, blog posts, or polished content—but don’t let the fear of editing stop you from showing up now.

A Simple Video Structure to Make It Easy

One of the best ways to avoid rambling or overthinking your videos is to follow this simple 5 part, 3-point structure:

  • Hook (Grab Their Attention) – Start with something that makes people stop scrolling and listen. This could be a question, a bold statement, or a relatable struggle.
  • 3 Main Points – Share three key takeaways, tips, or insights, backed up with a stat or a quick story.
  • Call to Action (What Should They Do Next?) – Guide your audience on what to do next—comment, visit your website, sign up for something, or book a call.

Keeping your videos between 5-15 minutes makes them easier to plan, record, and actually post.

Your Audience is Waiting—Start Today

Video marketing doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need a fancy setup. And you definitely don’t need to have it all figured out before you start.

The sooner you press record, the sooner you’ll get better.

So—what’s stopping you?

Let me know in the comments what’s holding you back from making videos, and let’s work through it together.
