Since today is the first Family Day holiday here in Ontario – not to mention my birthday – I’ve decided to give myself the day off.
Before I do I thought I’d share a link that may be useful.
Over the years I’ve intentionally avoided learning any HTML. I didn’t see the need, plus I always felt a programmer would do a faster and better job than I ever could.
Then I started this blog. Now I understand that outsourcing things like changes to my blog’s structure is usually a better strategy; it frees me up to do the things that only I can do for my business.
However, when it comes to my website and my blog, I like to make changes on the fly. When I get an idea I want to implement it right away. I don’t want to wait until my webmaster has the time. If I keep asking a webmaster to make small changes I’ll be frustrated waiting for them to get to it and it will cost more because I’m not doing it all at once.
So I’ve been struggling through on my own, with a little help from some on-line friends. But this weekend I came across a great resource that will make changing my blog a whole lot easier.
The site is CK Marketing by Colin King and can be found at http://ageeksjourney.com. Colin has created a series called How To Modify A WordPress Theme. This four-part series offers great information if you want to learn how to make changes yourself.
I’m off to enjoy Family Day. Have a good one.
