Tonight I just presented my first teleseminar. Phew!
I’ve given workshops for previous employers, been teaching at Georgian College here in Owen Sound and presenting workshops of my own, but I’ve never taught via telephone before.
It was a little intimidating. I couldn’t see people’s faces to see how they’re reacting to my material – if they understand it or were even interested. I’ve participated in tons of teleseminars; I attend at least one per month. But it’s very different being on the other side of the event. I have even more respect for good teleseminar leaders.
Now because this was a first for me I’d asked some friends to participate so if I fell flat on my face it wouldn’t hurt my business – or my pride. I’ve also asked them to give me feedback so I know what to change and what to keep the same.
Overall, I think it went well. Of course, I haven’t read the comments from my friends. I hope they are kind!
It was an interesting experience and I think I’ll continue . I love teaching and teleseminars are a way for me to reach a wider audience. I also love trying new things and having variety in my business.
If you’ve had experience presenting teleseminars, I’d love to hear about your experience.
