Here are a list of tools and resources I recommend. Some I use personally, some are recommended to me by friends and colleagues. The prices vary from free on up. And yes, some of these include my affiliate link – after all it’s The Baby Boomer Entrepreneur not the Baby Boomer Hobbist. I only recommend products and services that are of good quality. If you use on of these resources, please shoot me a quick email to tell me what you think.
Shopping Cart
If you sell anything online, you need a way to collect the payment. There are a number of digital shopping carts available but they include hefty monthly fees and you often need your own merchant account for credit cards (with even more hefty fees). If your online sales aren’t a large percentage of your business yet – or you just don’t like spending money – here’s a new option. The WordPress eStore is an inexpensive add-on for your WordPress site. You pay a one-time fee and it easily connects with PayPal and your autoresponder.
Online Storage and File Sharing
One of my favourite free tools is Dropbox. It gives you online storage space that you can use for backup or for sharing between your desktop and laptop. You can also create folders that you share with other Dropbox users. I use it frequently for sharing files with customers.
