Andrea, thanks for the reference about Klout.com. I just discovered it this past weekend. I haven't figured out how they pull all of the info into the group of scores they provide. However, my take away was exactly the same message you shared. Though I thought I was making it about relationships, I still have a long way to go.

We all do it. Because you're sitting at your computer, alone, and not looking anyone in the face.

A great tool to get you out of the me-me-me mindset is klout.com. It rates your "clout" on Twitter. I'm not exactly sure how it's calculated but it looks at how often you have conversations (@replies and retweets) from and with others. The lower your score, the less you are resonating with people. For a numbers person, it's great to have a number to remind you how you're doing when it comes to building relationships.

Andrea, that you for a very sound post. I find myself falling victim to being too focused on myself at times. I do believe what you say about Twitter being for building relationship. In fact, my situation is strange in that I am not selling anything, but only providing free information and can still get too focused. Thanks for the gentle, and occasionally not so gentle, hints to get us on track that business is about relationship building.
