Delving into my flaws by trying to understand why I am the way I am has never helped me overcome a weakness as much as simply taking the next tiny step toward the goal I seem to be resisting with all my might. A very wise person once taught me that feelings wrap around behavior, not the other way around.

I’m also learning to trust my inner guide, and I’ve discovered that sometimes when I judge myself to be wasting time, I’m thinking and strategizing on a very deep level.

But that’s not to say I don’t often find the need to light a fire under myself!
