Andrea,

Thanks for another great post for Baby Boomer Entrepreneurs. Your point about smart goals is so important. Baby Boomer business owners who are starting out fresh don't have the time to be going in the wrong direction for very long. Having some clear goals about where we want to apply the effort and measuring progress toward those goals is of absolute importance. We do not have years to recover from big blunders.

I love how you bring Social Media down to earth; it can be such a time-sucking area. I'm just getting my feet wet with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn so you post was really timely.

This is so true. I started a blog and gave it one year. I seriously underestimated the time it would take me to write posts (I'm not a great writer) and get links going between my blog and other blogs. At the end the year, I gave myself another few months and at the end of that time period I had a total of 5 subscribers (one was me, another was my mother).
So, I'm not a blogger so I quit. I've joined Twitter instead and it is much easier for me.
