I agree completely. I often wonder why multimillion dollar corporations expect me (or any solopreneur) to offer them financing for several months when my invoice is such a small portion of their budget. Municipalities and other government offices are also known for being guilty of this.

I guess the trick in these cases is to manage your cash flow by ensuring you have enough quick paying customers to get you by while you wait for the slow ones. Or make the decision not to work for them.

It&#039;s a tough one.

One worldwide firm based in Montreal is particularly guilty of this.So either you don&#039;t work with them or you take the day job to pay the bills until they send you a cheque ! 
I&#039;m always amazed (and touched) that the NFPs and the solopreneurs are the first to pay up and yet they are the companies with the cashflow problems. It&#039;s a strange world !</description>
